Definition and practical information
REGISTRATION
Competitors must register in the SGU Championship Office at least 30 minutes prior to their tee-time.

CLUBHOUSE AND CATERING
Competitors and their families may use the clubhouse facilities. The dress code is smart casual no jeans or trainers. Shoes worn on the golf course may not be worn in the clubhouse.

All catering will be at competitors or guests expense.

FORMAT
The event is an 18 hole stableford competition with full handicap allowance, up to a maximum of 28 for boys and 36 for girls. Points are awarded in relation to par at each hole as follows.


Nett score for hole -
More than one over par or no score returned: 0 Points
One over par: 1 Point
Par: 2 Points
One under par: 3 Points
Two under par: 4 Points
Three under par: 5 Points

TEES
Boys will play be from the yellow tees girls from the red tees.

RULES
The event will be played under the R&A rules of golf and the local rules of the golf club, although these are subject to change by the SGU.

CADDIES
Caddies are not permitted. Parents may walk with the game but may not carry the bag, tend pins, rake bunkers or offer advice or interact with the game in any way. Anybody breaching this condition may be disqualified from the event.

QUALIFIERS
The number of qualifiers for the Grand Final is dependent on the number of competitors who compete in each Regional Final. The number of qualifying places available will be posted on the day of the event.

In the event of a tie for the final qualifying place in either section the following countback procedure will be applied:

The best stableford score on holes 10-18 and if still a tie
The best stableford score on holes 13-18 and if still a tie
The best stableford score on holes 16-18 and if still a tie
Match play on the best stableford score on the card, hole by hole from the 1st hole.

PRESENTATION
A presentation of prizes will take place at the conclusion of play. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 boys and girls from each regional qualifier. All prize winners are expected to attend.

Qualifiers will receive information regarding arrangements for the final after all Regional Finals have taken place.

SCORECARDS
Scorecards must be returned to the registration area immediately after play.

DIRECTIONS
If you are travelling from Dundee, Perth or Blairgowrie, Alyth Golf Club is well sign-posted throughout the area. The Course is situated a mile south east of Alyth on the B954. The Clubhouses of both Alyth and Glenisla are easily spotted when approaching the town of Alyth.
