Car Park Competitors may use the car park. The Scottish Golf Union and Royal Burgess Golfing Society cannot accept responsibility for any damage loss or theft to property or cars. Please note competitors must not change in the car park – changing facilities and small personal belonging lockers are available in the gents locker room on the first floor of the clubhouse.
Catering Hot rolls and coffee will be available from 0630 on Saturday 13 June and from 0700 on Sunday 14 June. On Monday 15 June there will be no early morning catering available. Bar snacks and meals will also be available throughout the Championship. All food and beverage is at competitors own expense.
Clubhouse The Clubhouse will open at 0615 on Saturday 13 June and 0645 on the following two days. Use of facilities at the Clubhouse will be extended to competitors, officials and press and any guests for the duration of the Championship. Changing facilities and showers are available in the gents locker room (upstairs), an ample supply of personal belonging lockers are available on a first come first served basis (a £1 coin refundable deposit is required). Please note clubs must not be taken upstairs. Towels will be available from the club but must not be removed from the gents locker room.
On Sunday 14 and Monday 15 June any competitors wishing to use the dining room must wear jacket collar and tie. Alternatively, provision has been made for competitors to use the upstairs lounge; the dress code will be smart casual.

MOBILE PHONES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE VICINITY OF THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.
Course and Play Competitors will play two rounds of stroke play over Royal Burgess on Saturday 13 June. The 16 competitors returning the lowest scores will compete in the match play stages commencing on Sunday 14 June. Any ties for the qualifying places will be resolved by the count-back formula. The draw for the match play stages will take place as soon as possible after close of play on Saturday 13 June. Players withdrawing after the match play draw is posted on the notice board will not be replaced.
Competitors must report to the Championship Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting time where a copy of the local rules and pin positions will be issued. Starting times are shown in the official draw sheet.
COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision has been made under Rule 6-3.

Insurance Your entry fee includes cover in respect of competitor’s legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property. An excess of £15 will apply.
Practice The Club has kindly granted competitors courtesy of the course for one practice round prior to the Championship on Friday 12 June. Times are available on a first come first served basis between 1000 – 1600. Bookings for practice times must be made in advance by telephoning Royal Burgess Professional Shop on 0131 339 6474. Please note that any practice over Royal Burgess out with the official practice day is at the discretion of the club and cannot be guaranteed.
A warm-up facility is available at the venue. In addition a practice strip will also be in operation. Numbers will be limited to this area and all competitors must play within the designated area, seed all divots and provide their own balls.
General Practice Conditions Competitors may play from the Medal Tees. Other than in accordance with the Rules of Golf, a competitor in a practice round must not have more than one ball in play. Exception - if a player misses the green with his shot to the green, he may play one additional shot.
Presentation The bronze medals will be presented directly after the semi finals at approximately 1230 on Monday 15 June. Both the silver and gold medalists and Championship Trophy will be presented at the close of play after the final on Monday 15 June at approximately 1600. All medal winners are required to be present.
Responsibility Royal Burgess and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property during the Championship or on practice days.
Trolleys and Yardage Books The Professionals Shop has a supply of trolleys for hire on a first come first serve basis. Yardage charts are not available for purchase.

Directions By Train Edinburgh Waverley station is approximately 6 miles from Royal Burgess. There are direct train services to Edinburgh from London Kings Cross and from most major cities in the UK. Those travelling from the west may be able to alight at Edinburgh Haymarket as well as Waverley. By Car If travelling from the south on the M8 follow the Edinburgh airport signs. After passing the airport on the left, at the first set of traffic lights bear left past the Stakis Maybury Casino. At the next traffic lights follow the sign for Cramond. The clubhouse is located on the right immediately after the parade of shops behind the Barnton Hotel. If travelling from the north on the A90 follow the dual carriageway towards the City Centre. Once past the Cramond Brig Hotel on your left, you will approach the Barnton junction and a set of traffic lights. Take the slip road left into Whitehouse Road. The entrance to Royal Burgess is immediately after the parade of shops. By Air Edinburgh airport is a 15 minute taxi journey from Royal Burgess. If you hire a car turn left for the city centre when exiting the airport. Immediately after the underpass take the left lane and within 150 metres you will see the Stakis Maybury Casino. Turn left past the Casino and follow the instructions for travellers arriving from the south on the M8.
