CAR PARK Competitors may use the golf club car park. The Scottish Golf Union and Auchterarder Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to cars. Additional car parking is available in the surrounding streets.
CATERING Coffee, tea and morning rolls will be available from 6.45am. Bar snacks & meals will be available all day until close of play. All catering is at the competitor's expense. Restaurant meals will be available if booked in advance, 6.00 – 8.30pm.
CLUBHOUSE The clubhouse will be open at 6.30am on each Championship day. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities.
In all clubhouse areas casual wear is acceptable for competitors, but must be smart. THE WEARING OF JEANS, DENIM TROUSERS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS, SHELL SUITS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED. Shorts are permitted if tailored. Hats must be removed before entering the Clubhouse.
Competitors shall not be allowed to purchase alcoholic drinks.
MOBILE PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.
Changing facilities are available in the Visitors Locker Rooms. There are no lockers available. There are showers available. Competitors planning to use showers are advised to bring their own towel.
COURSE AND PLAY Competitors will play one round of stroke play on Friday 9 July. In the event of a tie a sudden death play-off will decide the Championship.
Competitors must report to the SGU Championship Mobile Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting times that are shown in the official draw sheet.
Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions, pace of play guidelines and insurance certificate when registering at the SGU Championship Mobile Office.
COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision has been made under Rule 6-3.

"Advice" is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke.
INSURANCE Your entry fee includes cover in respect of competitor’s legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property.
PRACTICE The club has kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round, on Thursday 8 July between 1.00am & 4.00pm. Competitors must telephone the Professional’s Shop (Tel: 01764 662804 – Option 1) in advance to make a booking. Times are available on a first come first served basis.
Each competitor must report to the Professional’s Shop prior to starting his practice round. Competitors may play from the Championship Tees. Other than in accordance with the Rules of Golf, a competitor in a practice round must not have more than one ball in play – exception – if a player misses the green with his shot to the green he may play one additional shot.
There is a small practice ground available but is limited to short irons only and competitors will be required to supply own practice balls. There is a practice putting green adjacent to the 1st tee for practice putting only. Competitors are prohibited from chipping onto or around this green.
Alternative practice facilities are available at the Gleneagles Hotel Golf Academy which is a 5 minute drive from Auchterarder GC. The Gleneagles Hotel Golf Academy are offering competitors a special discounted rate of £3.50 per basket of balls. However please note that the use of this facility is subject to availability i.e. members and hotel guests have priority. The Gleneagles Hotel Golf Academy opens at 7.00am and closes at 7.00pm – last balls dispensed at 6.30pm.
Competitors using any of the above practice areas do so at their own risk.
TROLLEYS & YARDAGE BOOKS Trolleys are available for hire and yardage books for purchase from the Professional Shop on a first come first served basis.
PRESENTATION The Championship trophy and medals will be presented at the close of play on Friday 9 July. All medal winners are expected to be present.

DIRECTIONS Auchterarder Golf Club is approximately 50 miles from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
From The South The M9 becomes the A9 (dual carriageway) and you should continue on it for about 11 miles. Next take the exit signed 'Auchterarder' and then turn left onto the A824 which is Orchil Road. The Club entrance is about 300 yards on the left.
From The North Leave the A9 at the exit for the A823 after the one signed 'Gleneagles Station'. Turn right onto the A823 following the sign for The Gleneagles Hotel and golf courses. Go past the Gleneagles Hotel and then turn right onto the A824 which is Orchil Road. Follow this road until you see the entrance to the club on the right.
From Further South And London The quickest route is usually via the M1 - M6 motorways. After Carlisle, follow signs for Glasgow, taking the A74 - M74. Leave the M74 at junction 4 and take the M73 signed to Stirling. This will lead you onto the A80, then the M80. Take the M80 North and join the M9 signed to Perth. When the M9 becomes the A9, follow the local directions as detailed above.
From Edinburgh Airport Exit the airport following signs for ALL ROUTES. Follow the signs for GLASGOW A8/M8. You will then approach a large roundabout. Follow the sign for STIRLING M9 (NOT Glasgow M8). At STIRLING THE M9 becomes A9. Follow signs for Perth A9 (Dual carriageway). Follow this road approximately 14 miles. Exit the A9 at the exit signed 'Auchterarder' and then turn left onto the A824 which is Orchil Road. The Club entrance is about 300 yards on the left.
From Glasgow Airport Exit the airport following signs for .GLASGOW CITY CENTRE M8. Follow this motorway and pick up signs for EDINBURGH M8. Turn off at JUNCTION 13 TO STEPPS/STIRLING M80 and continue to follow signs for STIRLING. At Stirling pick up signs for PERTH. This road will become the A9 (Dual carriageway) and follow this road for approximately 14 miles. Exit the A9 at the exit signed 'Auchterarder' and then turn left onto the A824 which is Orchil Road. The Club entrance is about 300 yards on the left.
