Vancouver Open Championship
September 13th - 15th
The 54-Hole Championship is a stroke play event that commences on Sunday, September 13th at Fraserview and Langara Golf Courses and ends on Tuesday, September 15th at McCleery Golf Course. A 36-hole cut will be established within each Category (Pro and Amateur) to approximately the top 60% in each flight.

Eligibility:
54-Hole Championship: Open to all professionals and amateurs with RCGA Factors 0-18.

Full Field Size*: 220 Championship golfers; 96 Corporate Pro-am players.

Professional Purse: $25,000*
(based on 70 Pros)

Amateur Prizes: $25,000 in prizes*
(based on full field)

Entry Fee & Registration

PROFESSIONALS:
VGT Members: $300 plus GST
PGA Members: $350 plus GST
Non-Carded: $400 plus GST

AMATEURS:
VGT Members: $225 plus GST
Non-Members: $250 plus GST

ROUND ONE - Sunday, Sept.13th


FRASERVIEW GOLF COURSE:

8AM Shotgun Start - Championship Amateur and Professional golfers tee-off in first round of 54 Hole Championship.

1PM Shotgun Start – Professionals who have brought or been assigned to a team will play their first round of the 54 Hole Championship in the 18-Hole Charity Pro-am Sponsored by Brad Garside of Paine Edmonds Law Firm. Each team will consist of one Professional and three Amateur golfers. Proceeds from the Pro-am will go towards the CKNW Orphan’s Fund!

LANGARA GOLF COURSE:

7:30am-9:15am start – Flight A and Flight B Amateurs will tee-off in the first round of the 54-Hole Championship.


ROUND 2 – Monday, Sept.14th

FRASERVIEW GOLF COURSE:


7:30am-9:15am Start: Flight A and Flight B Amateurs tee-off in round 2 of the 54-Hole Championship.


LANGARA GOLF COURSE:


7:30am-9:15am Start: All Professionals and Championship Amateurs tee-off in round 2 of the Championship.


36 HOLE CUT: Approximately 60% of Amateurs in each flight and 60% Professionals will make the cut to play the final round of the Championship. Exact numbers of gross and net players will be announced once the flights are determined with an equal amount of players in each flight in the draw.


ROUND 3: Tuesday, Sept.15th


McCLEERY GOLF COURSE:


7:30am-9am and 12pm-1:30pm tee-starts off 1st and 10th tee. Leaders in each flight and overall low gross scores will tee-off in the afternoon draw. Higher scores will tee-off in the AM draw.


SPECTATORS:

All spectators are welcomed to come watch!!! Daily admission is $5.00 and 3-day passes are $10.00. All gate receipt proceeds go to the CKNW Orphan's Fund.

We are still looking for the help of enthusiastic volunteers who have an appreciation for golf. While volunteering you will be able to witness firsthand the enormous Amateur and Professional golf talent that we have within BC. These Professionals include golfers currently on the Canadian Tour as well as those who have played on the Nationwide Tour and at past PGA Tour events.

Fraserview offers golfers an old course feeling in a west coast setting. Hidden away by a mature urban forest, this well-maintained course offers a variety of challenges for golfers of all skill levels.

Langara Golf Course:

Langara will play host to the 1st and 2nd round of the 54-Hole Vancouver Open Championship.

Enjoy peace and tranquility in the heart of the city in Langara’s traditional-style course located on the south slope of Vancouver. Built in 1926 by the CP Railway, the course was redesigned by Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom. The contoured, tree-lined fairways are easy to walk and make this challenging par 71 course appealing to players of all levels.

McCleery Golf Course:

McCleery, with its many water hazards, gently sloping fairways and large greens is nestled on the north banks of the Fraser River in southwest Vancouver. Featuring well sculptured and meticulously maintained fairways and greens, this par 71, 6,265 yard course offers a target-style golf challenge.


McCleery will play host to the Final Round of the 54-Hole Vancouver Open Championship
