Turneringsbetingelser og praktiske oplysninger
Car Park
Competitors may use the lower and overflow car parks. Please obey the instructions of the car park attendant. The Scottish Golf Union and Royal Dornoch Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for any damage to cars.

Catering
Coffee, morning rolls and full breakfasts will be available from 8.00 to 11.00am. Bar snacks and full meals will be available from 11.00am until 9.00pm. All catering is at competitors own expense.

Clubhouse
The clubhouse will be open at 6.00am each day. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities.

Casual wear is acceptable but must be smart. THE WEARING OF JEANS, DENIM TROUSERS, SHORTS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS, SHELL SUITS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED.

MOBILE PHONES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE VICINITY OF THE CLUBHOUSE AND COURSE.

No one under the age of 18 may consume or purchase alcoholic drinks.

Changing facilities are available in the Gents Locker Rooms. Coin operated lockers, showers and towels are available but towels must remain in the Changing Rooms.

With the exception of the Gents Locker Rooms metal spikes are prohibited in the clubhouse. Soft spikes may be worn throughout the clubhouse.

Caddie Cars, Yardage Books and Caddies
The Professionals Shop has a supply of trolleys for hire on a first come first serve basis. Yardage books will be available for purchase from the Professionals Shop.

Course and Play
Competitors will play one round on Friday 1 June and one round on Saturday 2 June. The top 40 qualifiers and those tying on 40th place will play two rounds on Sunday 3 June. The draw for Sunday will be made as soon as possible after close of play on Saturday.

THE WEARING OF JEANS, DENIM TROUSERS, SHORTS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS, SHELL SUITS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED. Shorts are permitted if tailored.

Competitors must report to the Championship Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting time. Starting times are shown in the official draw sheet. Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions and pace of play guidelines when registering at the Championship Office.

COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision is made under Rule 6-3.

Insurance
Your entry fee includes cover in respect of legal liability in the event of them causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property. An excess of £15 will apply.

Practice
Royal Dornoch GC has kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round on Thursday 31 May between 1.00 & 6.30pm. Competitors unable to practice in this period or who wish to book additional practice rounds will be charged a green fee of £78 (midweek) or £88 (weekend). All bookings for practice times must be made in advance by telephoning Royal Dornoch GC on 01862 810219 Ext 185.

General Practice Conditions
Competitors must report to the Professionals Shop prior to starting their practice round.
Competitors may play from the Championship Tees.

Other than in accordance with the Rules of Golf, a competitor in a practice round must not have more than one ball in play - exception - if a player misses the green with his shot to the green he may play one additional shot.

Practice Facilities
A full practice ground is available at the bottom of the Struie Course which competitors can drive to but please beware of golf in progress en-route.

Practice balls are available free of charge. PRACTICE BALLS MUST NOT BE REMOVED FROM THIS AREA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. A player seen taking balls will be liable to disciplinary action by the Championship Committee.

Players must only use the practice balls provided and play from behind the white line. Please obey the instructions of the Range Attendant.

Practice ground opening and closing times:

Thursday 31 May 11.00am last balls 6.00pm
Friday 1 & Saturday 2 6.15am last balls 6.00pm
Sunday 3 45 minutes before 1st tee-time last tee-time of Round 3

Outwith the above times competitors may practice but are required to supply own practice balls.

The practice putting green is adjacent to the 1st tee. COMPETITORS ARE PROHIBITED FROM CHIPPING ONTO OR AROUND THIS GREEN. There is short game practice area between the 17th & 18th holes on the Championship Course. Players may practice on this area but are required to supply own practice balls.

Presentation
The Championship trophy and medals will be presented at the close of play on Sunday 3 June. All medal winners are expected to be present.

Responsibility
Royal Dornoch GC and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property.

Getting to Dornoch
By rail to Inverness, then the Wick/Thurso train to Tain (10 minutes by taxi to Dornoch)
By air to Inverness, then hire a car (50 minutes to Dornoch)
By road - A9 trunk road from Perth (3 hours drive to Dornoch, with modern trunk road all the way)
By bus from Glasgow/Edinburgh/London to Inverness, then onwards to Dornoch (hourly service)
