Car Park Competitors may use the main car park adjacent to the Claret Jug clubhouse. The Scottish Golf Union and The Carrick on Loch Lomond cannot accept responsibility for any damage to cars.
Catering Each competitor will receive a tea or coffee plus bacon roll, served on arrival. Competitors will also receive a complimentary drink on arrival back at the clubhouse after their round of golf where a complimentary two course meal will be served in your tee-time groups. Any additional refreshments will be at the competitor’s expense. Complimentary catering will not be provided for additional guests accompanying competitors.
Registration Registration will commence at 0800 in the reception area of the clubhouse where competitors will receive their scorecard and a goody bag. Players must register no later than 0915. A welcome and briefing explaining the format of the day will be presented between 0915 and 0930, ahead of the 1000 shotgun start.
In all clubhouse areas and on the course casual wear is acceptable for competitors but must be smart. Shoes worn on the golf course may not be worn in the clubhouse.
THE WEARING OF JEANS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED. MOBILE PHONES SHOULD BE SWITCHED OFF IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.
Changing facilities are available in the gents and visitors’ locker rooms. Valuables lockers, showers and towels are available.
Yardage Books and Caddie Cars Yardage books are available for purchase and a limited number of trolleys are available for hire from the professional’s shop.
Competition Format The competition will be played using the stableford points format based on net scores and a full handicap allowance. Points are awarded as follows: Bogey – 1 point; Par – 2 points; Birdie – 3 points; Eagle – 4 points; Albatross – 5 points. The competition is based on individual scores and players will play in groups of three/four using a shotgun start. The attached draw details your starting hole. Gents will play from the tees signified by the sponsors’ tee markers (Aberdeen Asset Management) and Ladies will play from the red tees. Prizes will be awarded to the leading three nett stableford scores with special prizes awarded for Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and the ‘Beat Monty’ Challenge on the 16th hole.
Returning of Score Cards On completion of your round, scorecards should be returned to the SGU Championship Van located outside the main entrance of the clubhouse and scores will be posted on the scoreboard.
Etiquette In the interests of all, each competitor should play without delay, leave a bunker as he would expect to find it, replace divots and repair pitch marks.
Presentation There will be an official prize presentation at approximately 1630 at the conclusion of Dinner with photographs taken afterwards. All competitors are encouraged to attend the prizegiving.
Responsibility The Carrick on Loch Lomond and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for the loss, theft or damage to players’ property during the event.

Location The Carrick is located just off the A82 around 2.5 miles from the town of Balloch and 1.5 miles north of Cameron House Hotel.
From the South (M74/M6)
The M74 will take you along the south side of Glasgow. On your approach to Glasgow, follow the signs for the M73 which will take you to the M8 - Greenock. Leave the M8 at junction 30, for the Erskine Bridge. Over the bridge, join the A82 following signs for Crianlarich. Stay on the A82 for approximately 15 miles. You will go through a series of three roundabouts, at the third (Stoneymollan) roundabout indicating Balloch to the right and Luss (Loch Lomond West), progress straight towards Luss. Cameron House is approximately 1 mile on the right and The Carrick is 1.5 miles further on.
From the North West - Fort William/Oban (A82)
Follow the southbound carriageway on the A82 heading for Crianlarich, Tarbet and Luss. Carry on the A82 towards Arden, The Carrick is on the left and Cameron House is a futher 1.5 miles south on the left.
From the East (via Glasgow Airport M8)
Follow the M8 westbound heading for Greenock. Leave the M8 at junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge. Over the bridge, join the A82 following signs for Crianlarich.
