THE CHAMPIONSHIP
FORMAT
There will be two rounds of stroke play qualifying with one on Tuesday 16 July and one on Wednesday 17 July. The 32 competitors returning the lowest scores over 36 holes shall qualify for match play. Ties for the last qualifying place or places shall be resolved by hole-by-hole play-off immediately after the last competitor has returned her card; holes 1 and 18 will be used. All other ties shall be decided by a card count back over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 hole(s). If a tie still arises, the last 6, 3 or 1 hole(s) of the first 9 holes of the second round will be used. If necessary, the first round will then be treated in the same way.

The 16 competitors with the next best qualifying scores shall qualify to compete in a separate match play competition for the Ansley Salver. Ties for the last qualifying place or places shall be resolved by card count back as above.

SLOW PLAY
Each player is responsible for playing without undue delay. Each hole has been given a maximum completion time based upon length and difficulty. If a group is "out of position" it will be asked to improve the pace of play. Please refer to Rule 6-7 of the Rules of Golf.

LIVE SCORING
We are to be providing live scoring at this Championship. Competitors will be asked to give scores to scoring officials at specific holes on the course during Tuesday and Wednesday.

SCOREBOARDS
The Scoreboards will be situated on the first floor landing. There will also be a live scoring TV on the second floor landing for the stroke play rounds and for the latter match play stages. Computer print-outs of scores will be available from the Tournament Office.

CADDIES / TROLLEY PULLERS
Caddies and trolley pullers are NOT permitted for the stroke play rounds. Fellow competitors may caddy in the match play rounds. Pull trolleys are available at a cost of £2 from the Shop.

ONLY COMPETITORS AND OFFICIALS ARE PERMITTED TO BE ON THE FAIRWAYS OR SPEAK TO THE COMPETITORS DURING PLAY

PIN POSITIONS
Please find below a sample Pin Position chart, similar to the one you will be issued with each day on the 1st Tee. All measurements are in paces from a spot marked on the most forward part of the green. The 1st hole position is illustrated; that is 10 paces from the most forward part of the green to the pin and 6 paces from the pin to the nearest edge, the left edge.

A pin that is the same distance from both sides is indicated with a C for centre (see hole 3)
It is important to note that the distance the pin is on the green is from the most forward part of the green and not the nearest front edge to the hole.

Should an amendment be made after the 1st match has started, a notice will be placed on the Tee of that hole to inform Competitors of that change.
